The Sales and Rentals General Manager is responsible for overseeing the Real Estate Division and processes. The Real Estate General Manager will ensure that all Real Estate processes are legally compliant, and transfer skills in this regard to his/ her team. The Real; Estate General Manager will resolve all queries related to rentals or sales escalated to him/ her.
The Real Estate General Manager reports to the Directors, and is responsible for providing ongoing support and guidance within the Real Estate Division with regards to buyer/ seller/ landlord/ tenant matters. 
Growing the ANGOR brand
  • Identifying new geographical areas to expand the rentals and sales portfolios into
  • Liaising with Special Projects and Brand Controller wrt advertising and marketing requirements/ projects
  • Presenting APS as real estate solution to prospective clients
  • Suggesting, advising on and authorizing advertising campaigns as appropriate
  • Ensuring agents submit information/ photographs timeously and accurately
Team Management
  • Determining departmental targets and incentives
  • Ensuring legal compliance wrt departmental documentation
  • Ensuring legal compliance wrt relevant Acts
  • Managing the team
  • Suggesting, advising on and authorizing new systems and processes within the department
  • Measuring departmental performance by conducting regular reviews with staff members
  • Ensuring renewal process is followed for Rentals
  • Ensuring Rentals inspections are completed within specified timeframes
  • Conducting monthly team and individual meetings
  • Ensuring department is adequately staffed in cooperation with HR Department
  • Enforcing departmental and company policies
  • Suggesting, advising on and authorizing new systems and processes within the department
  • Ensuring monthly and annual processes are followed
  • Ensuring audits are completed within specified timeframes
  • Conducting monthly team and individual (where required) meetings
  • Ensuring department is adequately staffed in cooperation with HR Department
  • Measuring departmental performance by conducting regular formal and informal reviews with staff members, including annual performance review
  • Managing conflict within the team
  • IR matters in conjunction with the HR Department
Skills Transfer and Team Development
  • Assisting team members with RPL and PDE completion in cooperation with HR Department
  • Ensuring new members are adequately inducted on APS systems, processes and policies
  • Educating existing team members on changes to legislation, processes etc
  • Keeping updated on industry and legislation
Documentation and Processes
  • Updating documentation and processes as and when legislation requires
  • Ensuring stakeholders are made aware of changes/ updates to documentation and processes
  • Enforcing compliance with all relevant documentation and processes
  • Overseeing actions and functions of Admin Support, enforcing policy and compliance, assisting where appropriate
  • Auditing files to confirm completeness and correctness
  • Authorising comm sheets for submission to Payroll
  • Submitting Monthly Reports to Directors
  • Resolving all escalated and ‘super’ queries
  • Investigating, delegating and/ or resolving client queries/ complaints
  • Investigating and reporting back on Hello Peter complaints
  • Taking appropriate action
General Duties
  • Initiating of and participation in projects eg signage, etc, as authorized by Directors
  • Recordkeeping
  • Assisting team/ company with queries
  • Assigned duties under Director instruction
  • The applicant must have completed a minimum of matric and related RPL NQF level 4 (minimum) courses. 
  • Must have an excellent command of English as written and spoken language. 
  • Previous experience in the property industry, with specific reference to the real estate industry, as well as previous team management experience is a minimum requirement.
  • The applicant may be required to travel to and from clients and the office, and as such must be in possession of a valid South African driver’s license, as well as have access to reliable transport.

The applicant will be based in an open plan office, and will be faced with constant interruptions from different role players. The applicant will be expected to spend some time assisting staff members with the resolution of queries on their portfolios, as well as sharing ideas and suggestions for improvement.
The applicant will be working in a highly pressurized environment, under a target driven structure, which may cause the applicant stress. Weekend and after- hours work may be required. 
The applicant will be required to deal with a wide variety of personalities on various matters, enforcing company policies and establishing departmental protocols. The applicant will be expected to resolve conflict within the department, as well as queries and complaints presented by clients.
The applicant will be expected to lead a team, and ensure that deadlines and turn- around times are met, and that work performed is accurate and valid.
